God Help The Girl is a musical film written by Stuart Murdoch of Belle and Sebastian.

He is currently working on a soundtrack album for the record, recording a number of demos with the members of Belle and Sebastian and different vocalists - Catherine Ireton, Celia Garcia and Alex Klobouk, while continuing an ongoing search for singers to work on the recording of the album.

The recent iMeem audition has finished - and the winners Brittany Stallings and Dina Bankole - will be coming over to Glasgow to do some rehearsing and recording early in 2008. Their excellent versions of the songs 'Funny Little Frog' and 'The Psychiatrist Is In' can still be found at the imeem site (www.godhelpthegirl.com).

Once the singers are in place, recording of the album will begin in Spring 2008. The film will go into production in 2009 - and more details on both the record and the film will appear here and at (www.belleandsebastian.com) and (www.godhelpthegirl.com).
